What Google did was wrong, they FORCE ACCIDENTS that can cause consequences not even a company like mother Google (I’m implying Google is like russia, haha… sorry) can handle (if they were willing). If someone terrorized your relatives via mail, telephone, stalking, whatever, because they gathered informations on the internet, do you think Google would care? Everyone should have full control over their most valuable goods: privacy, identity, personality. Someone once said: “I want 2013 to be the first year in my life that I can look back and say I have more freedom then the year before. #IWant2013ToBe” – R. W. P. Oh that was you. But don’t you think privacy and control over your online identity is a big part of your freedom ? Reconsider your arguments, please. And I believe that you can’t read. I don’t care for HTML-5, I don’t want it, I don’t need it, I don’t TEST it (because it is in testing phase on YouTube), and yet I am forced to use it. And it’s not codecs, it’s not browser… it is the PC, and I know that, my PC is old, and I mean really old. I can’t afford a better one, I will never be able to use HTML-5 like a human, unless a miracle happens and my country’s goverment stops stealing from me. All I want is to watch a video, I don’t need HD and I don’t need HTML-5…

A lot, and users are not the ones paying for using these services. I don’t pay a cent for having my own channel in youtube, using google maps, translate, search, on daily or even hourly, basis.
In fact, all the services make my life more convenient. I shop dirt bike parts very much easier, and I got lost in a jungle less frequent with its navigator.
Most importantly, youtube’s comment area has rid off most arm chair warriors fightings.
