While I understand, the reasoning behind men not wanting daughters because they don’t like the idea of guys always trying to have sex with them and in their experience as they put it, “there are a lot of douche bags” but this is really patronizing because women want to have sex too. This idea makes it seem like the act of penetration is somehow… losing, that you are losing when you get penetrated and this is a very patriarchal perspective. Why not look at it from a different perspective, why not raise your daughter to be a strong person that will be able to recognize and dispatch these ‘douche bags’. Also they make it seem like girls are never bad people and only victims.
